Participant Michale Gayles at an Arts For All Workshop
1708 Gallery’s latest outreach program, Arts for All, paired artist Matthew Shelton, MFA candidate (2012) in VCU’s Department of Painting & Printmaking, with the clients of Richmond’s OAR, which serves individuals and families affected by incarceration.
Through a series of workshops focused on investigating public art, the group has designed and produced a mural that tells a story of redemption.
