September 9th, 2006

Richmond Magazine hosted the awards ceremony for the 9th Annual Theresa Pollak Prize for Excellence in the Arts on Wednesday evening. There was a very inspired collection of artists and audience in attendance to support the award recipients and listen to master of ceremonies Harry Kollatz introduce each person. The photos included here are just a sampling of the awards given. More information on Theresa Pollak and the artists who received awards can be found in the September issue or by clicking here to read a previous post regarding the awards.

Gallery sitting…

September 9th, 2006

…is what I’m doing today. According to the log, there were 498 people here last night for the Sue Papa and Paula Owen Symbiosis show. That is very cool! And I’ve given out a bunch of Wearable Art entry forms today, so if you are interested just call or email and I or someone else will get one out to you, pronto. 1708′s Wearable Art is better than Project Runway, even the first season.

And I know some of you (you know who you are) are at work and are feeling artistically thwarted. If so, revive yourself by clicking here.

Also, stay tuned for an interview with painter Paula Owen later this week…
