A 1708 GALLERY EXHIBITION

FRI + SAT, NOV 16 + 17, 2018

Lantern-Making Workshops & Community Lantern Parade

Each year, InLight Richmond kicks off with a Community Lantern Parade. The lanterns are created by children and adults alike at workshops, schools, and homes in the months leading up to the exhibition. 1708 Gallery organizes a series of lantern-making workships throughout the fall to provide an opportunity for Richmonders to participate in InLight. The 2018 schedule will be listed soon!

In addition to the public workshops, 1708 Gallery is pleased to present workshops for a variety of community organizations and schools in the Richmond region. For more information or to schedule a workshop, please call 804.643.1708 or email Erin Willett, Gallery Coordinator, at ewillett@1708gallery.org

AND Feel free to join in the festivities and make your own lantern for InLight Richmond 2018. See below for links to instructions.

To walk in InLight Richmond’s Community Lantern Parade bring a lantern you’ve made at home, in one of our public workshops, or make one with us before the parade begins. Gathering location and parade route will be posted as we get closer to InLight Richmond 2018!
